David was uncharacteristically quiet, so the teacher asked him about his father. 'My father is an exotic dancer in a cabaret and takes off his clothes in front of other people. Sometimes, if the offers are really good, he will go out to the alley with someone for money'.
Stunned, the teacher hurriedly set the other children to work on some exercises and took little David aside to ask him 'Is that really true about your father?' 'No', said David, 'he works for the Bush administration, but I was too embarassed to say that in front of the other kids..."
